Nude cruises from Miami

Miami is the departure port for more clothing-optional sailings than anywhere else, which is why "nude cruise Miami" gets searched about as often as it does. If you're flying in for one, this page covers what leaves from here, what it costs, and how to handle the day before.

Checked against operator schedules on 5 August 2026.

What sails from Miami

Big Nude Boat 2027 — naturist

Bare Necessities · Norwegian Jewel · 15–26 February 2027 · 11 nights

The largest nude cruise in the world, and the reason most people end up on this page. Departs Miami at 4:00pm on Monday 15 February and returns to Miami at 7:00am on Friday 26 February.

The route runs Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, then San Juan, Road Town in Tortola, Basseterre in St Kitts, St John's in Antigua, and Samaná in the Dominican Republic, with three nude days at sea worked in.

From roughly $2,000 per person double occupancy, plus about $202 port taxes and $221 prepaid gratuities per person. Strictly non-sexual, 21 and over. Full detail here.

Temptation Caribbean — lifestyle

Temptation Cruises · October 2026 · from Miami

Miami to Key West and Nassau. Couples-only, adults-only, unlimited open bar included. Listed from $200 per person per night.

Temptation Cruises · October 2027 · from Miami

Miami to Montego Bay in Jamaica and George Town in Grand Cayman, with two days at sea. Listed from $185 per person per night.

Both are lifestyle sailings, not naturist ones. If you're unclear on the difference, read this first — it's the single most common booking mistake in this category.

Not from Miami

Worth knowing so you don't book the wrong flight. Bliss Cruise's February 2027 Fiesta sailing departs Tampa, not Miami. Their other 2027 and 2028 sailings depart from various ports. Always check the specific sailing.

The day before

Every one of these ships boards in the afternoon. Flying in the same morning is possible and it is a bad idea: one delayed connection and you watch your cruise leave without you. Cruise fares are non-refundable and no operator here will cover a missed embarkation.

Come in the night before. It costs you a hotel and removes the only genuinely stressful part of the trip.

Where to stay. Downtown Miami and Brickell put you within fifteen minutes of PortMiami. Miami Beach is prettier and adds traffic risk on a weekday morning. Airport-area hotels are cheapest and most run a port shuttle, which is the practical choice if you're arriving late.

Getting to the port. PortMiami is about twenty minutes from Miami International in normal traffic. Rideshare is straightforward. If you're driving in, the port has long-stay parking, though for an 11-night sailing the cost adds up fast enough to make a rideshare cheaper.

Haulover Beach

About twenty minutes north of South Beach sits Haulover, Florida's best-known legal clothing-optional beach. It's a county park, it's been officially clothing-optional since 1991, and it draws a genuine mix of families, retirees and first-timers.

For anyone nervous about their first nude cruise, an afternoon at Haulover the day before is the single most useful thing you can do. It is a much lower-stakes environment than a ship, you can leave whenever you like, and most people find the anxiety they'd been carrying for months evaporates in about ten minutes.

Bare Necessities themselves suggest it in their Miami notes, which tells you how common the instinct is.

Practical points: parking fills early on weekends, there is no shade to speak of, and the clothing-optional section is to the north, marked. Bring more sunscreen than you think you need and a towel to sit on, which is the same etiquette you'll be following on the ship.

Common questions

Can I book a nude cruise directly with Norwegian or Royal Caribbean? No. These sail as full-ship charters. The operator buys the entire vessel and sells the cabins itself. Calling the cruise line will get you nowhere.

How early should I book? Earlier than feels reasonable. The Big Nude Boat 2027 was taking bookings with early-bird discounts of up to $1,000 more than a year ahead, and better cabin categories sell first.

Is there parking at PortMiami? Yes, but for a sailing this long the daily rate accumulates. Compare it against a round-trip rideshare before you commit.

Do I need a passport for a round-trip Miami sailing? For a cruise beginning and ending in a US port, a US citizen can in principle travel on other documentation, but every operator here strongly recommends a passport valid at least 60 days past your return. Given the ports involved, get one.

Are there nude cruises from Fort Lauderdale or Tampa? Tampa, yes. Bliss sails from there in February 2027. Fort Lauderdale hosts clothing-optional charters periodically, though nothing is currently scheduled that we can verify. Miami remains the main hub.
